Humphrey Tosses 3-0 Shutout Against Newark
|
Magic was in the air and on the mound at Arnold Park today as A. Humphrey held the Newark Pepper spellbound in his 3-0 shutout victory. The Buffalo Blues pitcher went the distance, rang up 4 strikeouts, walked 0 and held the Pepper to 6 hits to garner the win.
"He just had us in his thrall," Newark manager Jose Glassman said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
