Behind an impressive start by Marc Hall, Pittsburgh beat St. Louis, 2-1. St. Louis falls to 11-9.
The game came to a sudden end. In the bottom of the ninth, with one out, Hall hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Pittsburgh the 2-1 walk-off win.
"Going the distance every time out," said Hall, "is the goal."
