Whales Solve Terrapins, 5-3
|
The Chicago Whales picked up a win at Wrigley Field, knocking off the Baltimore Terrapins, 5-3. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Ballplayer Keupper, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Terrapins fall to 10-16 and continue their lethargic start to the 1915 season.
Leo Cooke was vital part of the Chicago win. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the fourth with two out, Cooke hit a 2-run home run. It made the score 3-0, in favor of the Whales.
"Ballplayer made his pitches," said Chicago manager Tim Van Noy.
