Pepper Pull Off Thrilling 6-5 Win in Extras
The Newark Pepper picked up a win at Arnold Park, knocking off the Pittsburgh Rebels, 6-5. Starting pitcher Howard House was a big reason why. The Pepper, now 14-19, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

Jimmy Magee clinched the win with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th. In the game, the Newark right fielder went 1 for 5.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said House.
