The home crowd had a good time watching the Newark Pepper and Buffalo Blues get after it.

Buffalo Blues starter Gene Krapp pitched a strong game against the Newark Pepper at Federal League Park, leading the Blues to victory, 8-4. Krapp went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 10 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-2.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Al Nixon had a game-changing hit. The Blues right fielder slammed a 2-run single off Earl Moseley, making the score 5-3, Buffalo.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Krapp told the Buffalo Bulletin. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."

Buffalo is now 15-21, while Newark is 14-22.
