Packers Tagged with 6-1 Loss
|
The Newark Pepper picked up a win at Arnold Park, knocking off the Kansas City Packers, 6-1. Starting pitcher Lindy Hiett was a big reason why. The win makes Newark 16-23.
In the bottom of the first, Mickey Keliher hit a 2-run double. The 9th double of the season for the Newark first baseman put the Pepper on top, 2-1.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Keliher told the Newark Gazette. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
