Whales Earn 4-3 Win Versus Tip-Tops
|
Washington Park was the site of a competitive game between the Brooklyn Tip-Tops and Chicago Whales.
The Brooklyn Tip-Tops got a sterling performance from pitcher Mike Prendergast, but the Chicago Whales still prevailed, 4-3. Prendergast threw 6 innings of shutout ball. With the win, the Whales sit at 31-21.
Having an impact for Chicago was Eddie Hohnhorst. In the top of the eighth inning, the 30-year old first baseman had a run-scoring single to make the score 2-1, Whales.
"Good win for our guys," said Hohnhorst.
