Pepper Snatch 3-2 Win from Blues
|
The Buffalo Blues got a superb performance from pitcher Harry Delano. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Newark. The Pepper won the game, 3-2. Delano threw 11 innings of 6-hit ball. With the win, Newark has a record of 24-33. Buffalo falls to 24-33.
The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the 12th. On a pitch from Harry Delano, Philip Carling reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 1 run. It gave Newark the 3-2 win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Carling told the Newark Gazette.
