Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Packers
Kansas City Packers starter George Chicken worked his magic, as he helped his team defeat the Newark Pepper, 2-1. Chicken went the distance for Kansas City. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. With the win, Kansas City pushed its record to 31-30.

The Packers relied on first baseman Walt Golvin for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"Every loss hurts," said Newark manager Jose Glassman. "But this was a tough one."
