Tip-Tops Deal Rebels Painful Loss
Brooklyn Tip-Tops starter Harris Sutton was in fine form against the Pittsburgh Rebels at Washington Park, leading his team to a win, 4-3. Brooklyn reliever Carl Hiatt got the win, raising his record to 3-3. Albert Cummings was tagged with the loss. The Tip-Tops now have a record of 27-32.

Coming to the plate with two out in the bottom of the 14th inning, Brooklyn right fielder Ralph McLaurin had a chance to be the hero. Facing Pittsburgh pitcher Rex Dawson with the bases loaded, McLaurin hit a walk-off run-scoring single.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," McLaurin said.
