Doan Throws 5-Hitter En Route to 9-1 Terriers Win
The St. Louis Terriers got a stellar performance from pitcher Walt Doan, who handcuffed the Pittsburgh offense en route to a win, 9-1, at Exposition Park. The win boosted St. Louis to 35-27.

Doan was effective for St. Louis, seldom allowing the Rebels to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 123 pitches over 9 innings. He limited Pittsburgh to just 1 run on 5 hits.

"It was a good win," said St. Louis manager Troy Sinclair. "Not without blemish, but good."
