The Kansas City Packers topped the Newark Pepper, 11-4, in Federal League action at Arnold Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kansas City shortstop Ballplayer Conyngham. The winning pitcher was Rip Hagerman. He's now 8-9. He went 8.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 10 hits for the Packers. With the win, Kansas City upped its record to 42-40.

Conyngham had a big hit for Kansas City with one out in the top of the fourth. With Kansas City leading 5-4, Conyngham hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Packers up, 8-4.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Conyngham said.
