Terrapins Lose at Home, 4-1, to Chicago
|
Chicago Whales starter Ballplayer Keupper hurled his team past the Baltimore Terrapins, 4-1. The win lifted the Chicago record to 50-41.
In the top of the 6th, Chicago took the lead on a 2-run home run by Red Corriden. At the time, the Whales were trailing 1-0, but Corriden's hit with two outs against Baltimore pitcher Clarence Hawkins put them in front, 2-1.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Corriden.
