Pittsburgh Dismisses Kansas City, 8-2
|
The Pittsburgh Rebels picked up a win at Gordon and Koppel Field, knocking off the Kansas City Packers, 8-2. On the mound for Pittsburgh was right-hander Allan Collamore, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Pittsburgh upped its record to 49-43.
In the top of the second, Pittsburgh center fielder Charles Jackson had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and two out, Jackson stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 1-0, Pittsburgh. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Ezequiel Navarro.
