Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Blues
|
Conditions were not ideal but Buffalo and Baltimore were able to put their game in the books.
The Buffalo Blues managed to get by the Baltimore Terrapins, 3-2, at Federal League Park. Buffalo pitcher Frank Larson set himself apart with his performance. The winning pitcher was Larson, now 7-2. He tossed 10 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6.
In the bottom of the tenth, Wally Rehg knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring single off Baltimore pitcher Ballplayer Fitzgerald.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Rehg.
With the victory, the Blues upped their record to 46-46.
