Tip-Tops Listless in 9-0 Loss to Pepper
Howard House was dynamite at Washington Park today, blowing away the Brooklyn Tip-Tops in a shutout victory. The Newark Pepper starter had everything working as he held the Tip-Tops to 4 hits in the 9-0 win.

"He was pure nasty out there today," said Brooklyn skipper Alfonso Rosas. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."

House finished the game with 5 strikeouts and no walks.

This year House has a 16-10 mark in 28 starts with a 2.52 ERA. He has given up 203 hits in 236 innings, struck out 127 and issued 55 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .227 batting average against him.
