Zinn Helps Baltimore Cruise to 10-1 Win
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
In the 10-1 Baltimore win over Chicago, the impact of Guy Zinn was substantial. Zinn, who is tied for 2nd in the FL with a .821 OPS, went 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The victory gives Baltimore a record of 58-53.
Ed Mensor aided the Baltimore cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder drew 1 walk.
Zinn said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
