Starting pitcher Mark Higbee pitched well enough to help the Kansas City Packers beat the Baltimore Terrapins, 6-4. Higbee went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 11 hits, walked 3, and struck out 1. His record improves to 14-14. The triumph puts Kansas City at 60-60 for the season.

Ed Fitzpatrick, the 25-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Fitzpatrick contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth inning to put Kansas City up, 4-3.
