The Brooklyn Tip-Tops had to overcome a fine effort from Buffalo pitcher Gene Krapp to grab a narrow 5-4 win at Washington Park. Krapp went 8 innings and allowed 5 runs. Brooklyn now has a 3-game win streak.

Harrison Montfort was 2 for 4 with a triple for Brooklyn. In a tie game with no one out in the bottom of the eighth, Montfort came through with a run-scoring triple. It put the Tip-Tops in front, 4-3.

"We take it day by day here," said Montfort, "and today was a good one for us."
