Rogge Masters Newark in Complete Game Win
|
Clint Rogge never let the Pepper get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Terriers to a win, 4-1. The victory gives St. Louis a record of 70-66.
Rogge, the winner, is now 20-14. In 9 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 4 hits, while collecting 6 Ks. He essentially shut down the Newark offense.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Rogge.
