Terrapins Sneak Past Packers, 5-4
The Baltimore Terrapins defeated the Kansas City Packers, 5-4. Doing his part was second baseman Karl Crandall, who was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With the win, Baltimore raised its record to 74-67.

Baltimore took a 5-4 lead on Otto Jacobs's 15th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Jacobs hit in the top of the ninth, left Kansas City pitcher Arthur Seibert visibly frustrated.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Kansas City manager Ezequiel Navarro. "But we decided not to take it."
