LeClaire Throws 3-Hitter En Route to 4-1 Packers Win
|
Kansas City starter Ballplayer LeClaire put a stranglehold on the Newark offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Packers to a 4-1 win. The Packers raised their record to 71-72.
LeClaire was in the zone all game. He frustrated Newark hitters while giving the Packers 9 innings of quality work. LeClaire threw 117 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 2 punchouts.
"It's a mindset," said LeClaire. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
