Wrigley Field was the site for Federal League action featuring the Chicago Whales and Kansas City Packers.

Kansas City left fielder Ed Fitzpatrick helped his team beat the Chicago Whales, 11-1. Fitzpatrick, who is tied for 5th in the FL in RBI with 67, went 4 for 6 for the Packers. Ballplayer LeClaire got credit for the win, improving to 16-15. He allowed 1 run on 9 hits in 9 innings.

With Kansas City leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Fitzpatrick hit a changeup from Floyd Mickey for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Packers ahead, 3-0.

Chicago manager Tim Van Noy called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."
