Kansas City's Mettle Tested in 3-2 Win
Kansas City Packers pitcher George Chicken whisked his team past the St. Louis Terriers, 3-2. Kansas City raised its record to 77-77 with the win.

The Packers relied on first baseman Jimmy Shinn for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 12th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"Every loss hurts," said St. Louis manager Troy Sinclair. "But this was a tough one."
