Terriers, Blancke Stonewall Baltimore, 5-0 Friday, September 4th, 1914 The St. Louis Terriers rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the Baltimore Terrapins at Terrapin Park today. Leading the way to victory was starter Clay Blancke, who shackled the Baltimore Terrapins and held them scoreless on a 9-hitter. "This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Blancke said in his postgame press conference. In 14 starts this season Blancke has rung up a 12-4 record and a 1.86 ERA. |
