Tuesday, September 15th, 1914
Today was Arthur Bottorff's turn in the rotation for the Indianapolis Hoosiers and he made the most of it, shutting out the St. Louis Terriers on 8 hits.
The 29-year-old right-hander led the Hoosiers to an easy 10-0 victory, allowing 2 walks and tallying 3 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," St. Louis manager Troy Sinclair said. "Bottorff certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
So far this season, Bottorff has logged a 20-15 record with a 2.89 ERA. He has started 37 games, hurled 292.1 innings and registered 120 strikeouts and 77 walks.
