The St. Louis Cardinals racked up a win at Robison Field, bumping off the Boston Braves, 3-2. Rube Kroh, who started for St. Louis, pitched effectively for his team. The win elevated the Cardinals to 80-62.

In the bottom of the seventh, shortstop Doc Lavan hit a run-scoring double to left-center. The double, which was hit off of Art Schimpf, gave St. Louis a 3-2 lead.

After the game, St. Louis manager John Hartgraves applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
