Browns Lose, 4-3; No End to Nosedive
|
The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Fenway Park , taking down the St. Louis Browns, 4-3. Starting pitcher Bullet Joe Bush was a big reason why. Guy Morton recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 9 for 11. Boston has 4 straight wins, St. Louis 14 straight losses.
Ken Williams was vital part of the Boston win. He went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth with two out, Williams hit a 2-run single. It made the score 3-1, in favor of the Red Sox.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Williams told the Boston Citizen.
