Chicago turned a good effort from starter Joe Boehling into a win over the Cincinnati Reds at Redland Field. The final score was 2-1. The Cubs saw their win-loss record go to 73-80. At the same time, the Reds fell to 63-90.
Chicago catcher Wally Schang helped his team with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, Schang was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We found a way to get it done," Boehling said.
