Indians Suffer 3-1 Home Loss
|
Behind an impressive start by Bullet Joe Bush, Boston beat Cleveland, 3-1. Bush got the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Bush allowed 1 run. Johnny Tillman closed the game out for Boston, earning his 7th save.
Boston grabbed a 3-1 lead in the top of the sixth when Bill McCabe hit a 2-run double. For the day, McCabe went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Boston skipper Jimmy Collins. "I can't complain."
The loss has the Indians at 22-10.
