Late Rally by Red Sox Locks Up 4-2 Win
The Boston Red Sox topped the Cleveland Indians, 4-2, in AL action at Somers Park. The standout performance belonged to Boston pitcher and Vernon, Connecticut, native Guy Morton. Johnny Tillman snagged the win in relief. In 2.2 innings, the right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits. He's now 2-0 on the season. Boston has won 4 straight games.

In the top of the eighth inning of a 1-1 tie, Boston second baseman Johnny Wuffli hit a 2-run single. It broke the deadlock and put Boston on top, 3-1.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Morton said.
