Indians Dealt 5-2 Loss by Chicago
|
The Chicago White Sox earned a win at Comiskey Park, stopping the Cleveland Indians, 5-2. Starting pitcher Hippo Vaughn played a big role in his team's success. Vaughn went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-5. The 6th-place White Sox have a record of 21-23.
Vaughn contributed when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth. Coming with one out and the bases loaded, the single proved to be critical to helping Chicago get the win.
"I really like what we did out there today," Vaughn said after the game.
