Browns Defeat Indians, 11-7
The St. Louis Browns bested the Cleveland Indians by a score of 11-7, with third baseman Frank Baker getting the main credit. On the day, Baker went 4 for 9 with a triple and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Browns. Yes, it was a win for St. Louis; but their 16-31 record is still nothing to boast about.

Joseph Burns's hit in the top of the 19th was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a splitter from Doc Crandall for a run-scoring single. It put St. Louis in front, 8-7.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Browns manager Ducky Hemp. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
