In a low-scoring clash between Cleveland and Boston, pitcher Doc Crandall was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 win. Crandall went the distance for Cleveland. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits.

"We had a good game plan," Crandall said, "and we were able to execute it."
