Schimpf Superb Against St. Louis
Art Schimpf really had his stuff working at Robison Field today. The Boston Braves hurler mystified the St. Louis Cardinals and shut them out 2-0. Schimpf allowed a total of 8 hits in the ballgame and struck out 6.

"The shutout is nice but I'm just happy we won," Schimpf said with a smile after the game. "Coach can be a real bear when we lose."
