Indians Dealt 7-2 Loss by St. Louis
|
The St. Louis Browns beat the Cleveland Indians, 7-2. St. Louis pitcher and Birmingham, Alabama, native Dutch Leonard led the way. Leonard, now 7-10, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. St. Louis has now won 3 straight, while the Indians have lost 3 in a row.
Happy Felsch had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the fourth for St. Louis. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Browns leading 3-0, he hit a 3-run home run.
"It always feels good to go the distance," Leonard said.
