Browns Win, 5-3, Extend Streak to 5 Games
|
St. Louis and Chicago duked it out and the Browns came out victorious.
Frank Brower was a vital contributor to the 5-3 St. Louis victory over Chicago. The Browns center fielder threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. The 7th-place Browns have won 5 straight games.
In the bottom of the second, St. Louis center fielder Pete Schneider had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Schneider stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-2, St. Louis. For the game, he went 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said St. Louis manager Ducky Hemp.
