Red Sox Get One to Win
The Boston Red Sox did little to support starter Phil Douglas against the Cleveland Indians, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Indians, striking out 4 and surrendering 8 hits. The performance from Douglas allowed Boston to escape with the 1-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'Phil, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Douglas told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

Currently Douglas has a record of 7-10 with 57 strikeouts and 51 walks in 146.2 innings and a 2.70 ERA.
