Chicago Wins, 1-0, in 13 Innings
The Chicago White Sox picked up a win at Comiskey Park, knocking off the Boston Red Sox, 1-0. Starting pitcher Harry Coveleski played a key role in the triumph. The White Sox saw their record improve to 40-48.

In the bottom of the 13th, John Knight had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring single to center off Boston pitcher Guy Morton.

"Put a star next to this win," Coveleski said.
