The St. Louis Browns trumped the Boston Red Sox, 5-3, at Sportsman's Park IV. St. Louis pitcher Frank Brower was terrific. He threw 7 innings allowing 3 runs. The victory puts St. Louis at 35-57.

In the bottom of the sixth, third baseman Harry Lunte hit a run-scoring single to left. The single, which was hit off of Jim Buchanan, gave St. Louis a 4-3 lead.

Lunte called the triumph "a good team win."
