Boston Shuts Out White Sox, Douglas Winner
|
Boston Red Sox starter Phil Douglas tamed the Chicago White Sox 5-0 with a 3-hit shutout, finishing the game with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in a sharp outing.
"I enjoy facing a team like that where I can get an out on one, two or three pitches," Douglas said. "It gives me a chance to be a lot more aggressive."
This year Douglas has worked 171.2 innings with 65 strikeouts en route to a 8-12 record and a 2.62 ERA.
