Reds Blank Boston, Guyn Winner
|
Howard Guyn handcuffed the Boston Braves at Redland Field today, coming away with a 3-hit, complete game shutout.
"I had everything working for me out there," the Cincinnati Reds right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With his stuff working, Guyn had little trouble with the Braves and led the Reds to victory, 4-0. He recorded 3 strikeouts and 4 walks in an impressive performance.
This season Guyn has compiled a 11-12 mark, 2.25 ERA and made 25 starts.
