Reds Fall Short at Boston, 4-3
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

Boston beat Cincinnati on the strength of starter Art Schimpf's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. With the win, Boston raised its record to 75-47.

The Braves relied on right fielder Cuke Barrows for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the ninth, he delivered, hitting a solo home run to seal the deal.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Schimpf.
