Collins, Brooklyn Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Brooklyn starter Ray Collins put a stranglehold on the Boston offense. The left-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Robins to a 2-1 win. Brooklyn now has a record of 70-63 with the win.
Collins earned the win to move to 13-15. In his complete game performance, he allowed 1 run on 6 hits, striking out 4 and walking 0.
"Going the distance every time out," said Collins, "is the goal."
