Cubs Walk Off with 10-9 Win
|
In a high-scoring game between Chicago and New York, third baseman Hans Lobert was a difference-maker. The 33-year-old helped Chicago grab the 10-9 win. He was 4-7 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The 7th-place Giants have dropped 4 straight games.
The Cubs relied on second baseman Buck Herzog for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 15th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Herzog said.
