Washington picked up a win at National Park, toppling the St. Louis Browns, 6-2. Pitcher Nap Rucker was one of the reasons the Senators triumphed. The 4th-place Senators now have a 4-game winning streak.

In the bottom of the second, Bill Sweeney hit a 2-run double. The 10th double of the season for the Washington second baseman put the Senators on top, 3-2.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Rucker said.
