Loss to Tigers Extends St. Louis Losing Streak
|
The Detroit Tigers picked up a win at Navin Field, knocking off the St. Louis Browns, 5-2. Starting pitcher Joe Engel was an essential part of his team's success. In 7.1 innings, Engel surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Detroit, now 10-6, has played well in the early going.
