Washington and Philadelphia duked it out and the Senators came out victorious.

Washington picked up a win at National Park, toppling the Philadelphia Athletics, 5-3. Pitcher Bill Hogg was one of the reasons the Senators triumphed. Washington has a 3-game win streak, while Philadelphia has lost 3 in a row.

Washington left fielder Zack Wheat made an impact. He drilled a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the third. In the contest, Wheat went 1 for 3 with a triple and a walk.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Wheat told the Washington Gazette.
