Washington Beats Boston, 5-0
|
The Washington Senators went home winners at Fenway Park , thanks in large part to starter Al Bonner. Bonner stifled the Boston Red Sox, enabling Washington to grab the 5-0 win. Boston drops to 9-7.
In the top of the third, catcher Steve O'Neill hit a 2-run double to left-center. The double, which was hit off of Phil Douglas, gave Washington a 5-0 lead.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," O'Neill told the Washington Gazette.
