Robins Drop 4-1 Decision to Braves
|
The Boston Braves beat the Brooklyn Robins, 4-1. Boston pitcher and The United States, native Flame Delhi led the way. Delhi got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. Delhi allowed 1 run. Boston, now 12-6, has played well in the early going.
Boston took a 2-0 lead on Eusebio Gonzalez's 2nd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Gonzalez hit in the top of the seventh, left Brooklyn pitcher Herb Byram visibly frustrated.
"Flame is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Boston manager Frank Selee.
